Last February — right around this time and before we began working virtually — Intouchers across all offices were treated to what we call Brand Love Week. It’s the week we show our love for our purpose and the values that explain who we are, what we believe and what we stand for. This year, we did it again. It was different celebrating our culture and coworkers from a distance, but … different isn’t always bad. From virtual Valentines to digital scavenger hunts to educational events to the surprise treat box all Intouchers received, this week was just what we needed to kick the mid-winter blues. 🙂 Check out some highlights!
For “Live to Learn Day,” Intouchers with expertise in yoga, knitting, ceramics, painting, and meditation Zoomed 30-minute classes for all who had the time to participate.
For “Hold Ourselves Accountable Day,” Jaqueline Jones, of the Equal Justice Initiative, shared a truly moving presentation on racial injustice in America, going back to the days of slavery and continuing to the present. Nearly 200 Intouchers tuned in, and as strong advocates for equity for all Americans, Jones solidified what we already knew: there’s a LOT of work still to be done on this front. Intouch helps its employees support social justice organizations and actions through an internal donation-matching program, and we also partner BrandLab, an organization with a mission “to change the face and voice of the marketing industry by introducing, guiding and preparing students for careers in marketing and advertising.”
To close out the week, nearly 100 Intouchers tuned in for “The Recipe,” an internal program designed to help employees learn about each other and bond via a subject almost everyone loves … food. In this edition, Antonio Rivera, Intouch’s director of inclusion, interviewed Eric Terry, director of quality control, about his grandmother’s apple pie and the memories, thoughts and feelings apple pie triggers for Eric. It was a lively discussion that featured music, video, photographs and lots of laughs. The perfect way to end a special Intouch week.
