Equity is on a lot of people’s minds right now, and that’s as it should be. Organizations of all stripes have begun to re-evaluate themselves and institute practices that attempt to level the playing field for employees who fall outside the straight-white-man paradigm. Again, as it should be!
Intouch takes equity and inclusion very seriously, and we put our money where our mouths are, from internal programs encouraging employees to donate to racial justice organizations (including an employer match program) to creating its own inclusion and diversity department three years ago to educating employees about (most recently) Black history and the Black experience at work … we’re always thinking about what else we can do to ensure every Intoucher feels valued, heard and comfortable being who they are.
Our director of inclusion strategy, Antonio Rivera, was recently invited by the folks at CareerBuilder to participate in a panel discussion for its own employees about equity and inclusion in the workforce. To get his take on the challenges organizations face as they try to evolve, and how they should best to address them, read the recap here.
