Ingram’s magazine recently released its 24th annual Philanthropy Special Edition, and we at Intouch are thrilled to be recognized as one of six Kansas City-area companies named as a Corporate Champion for our commitment to philanthropic activities this year — and every year.
“The Corporate Champions we’ve selected are among the most extraordinary organizations in terms of philanthropic giving and volunteerism,” said Ingram’s publisher Joe Sweeney. “Often times, honorees have performed well above their already high levels of annual giving. Several of this year’s honorees have been selected due to their extraordinary performance during this pandemic.”
Philanthropy is nothing new to Intouch, and we’re always proud of how we help — whether it’s raising funds for local animal shelters, shaving our heads for cancer research, or gathering in support of refugees.
Intouch was nominated for this recognition by Heart to Heart International, a philanthropic organization we regularly partner with — most recently to help front-line workers cope with COVID-19.
“It’s nothing any of us would have wished for, but the pandemic brought our companies together in ways we would never have imagined,” said Intouch EVP Wendy Blackburn. “The Intouch team was inspired by the progress already made through Heart to Heart International’s Infection Prevention and Control training program, the importance of the program to those organizations in need, the scalability and measurability, and the fact that it will SAVE LIVES.”
