Honoring Hispanic Heritage Month: One Language, Many Cultures

Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15 to October 15, is a vibrant tribute to the rich histories, cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, EVERSANA and EVERSANA INTOUCH celebrated the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our organization as we continue our commitment to fostering an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive.

To kick off the celebrations, our offices hosted a catered lunch from Hispanic-owned restaurants during our community day. Additionally, employees had the chance to participate in a raffle to win a Latinx snack box filled with a variety of treats from Hispanic-owned businesses.

Coffee Break Speaker Series: Hispanic Heritage Month Edition

During a coffee chat, employee guests Alexis Longo, Senior Project Manager, and Franklin Martinez, Training Lead, Channel Management, shared inspiring stories centered on the theme “One Language, Many Cultures.” Our team had the opportunity to hear about their personal histories, gaining insights into their culture, shared experiences and differences. The session allowed us to connect more deeply, learn from one another and gain a richer understanding of the Hispanic and Latinx experience.

Cook-a-Long: Chimichurri

Alexis Longo hosted a chimichurri cook-a-long for employees to learn how to make the traditional dish that reminds her of her grandparents, who are no longer with her, and loved ones around the world, whom she doesn’t see often.

“At home, we always pair Chimichurri with red meats,” said Alexis. “On my father’s side of the family, we have an ‘asado.’ Asado is basically a barbecue, but in Argentina, it is a huge part of our culture. We treat it as more of a social gathering filled with grilling steaks, chorizo and morcilla. As for dessert, we always have panqueques con dulce de leche, which is a thin pancake filled with dulce de leche!”

Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates all Hispanic voices and the history and contributions Hispanic and Latino Americans have made in the U.S. To Alexis, it means so much more because it’s truly a time when she reflects on all the sacrifices her family made by immigrating to seek a life with more opportunities.

We look forward to continuing to celebrate and embrace the diversity that makes EVERSANA INTOUCH such a vibrant and dynamic workplace. By honoring and learning from the diverse cultures within our agency, we can create a more harmonious work environment. Looking to join our agency team? Visit our careers page.
